Description
Riboflavin is a water-soluble vitamin, which functions as a coentzyme in oxidation-reduction reactions and in the degradation and synthesis of fatty acids. In foods riboflavin is usually bound to protein and so also protein containing foods are good sources of riboflavin. These are milk, meat, inner organs and beans. Deficiency symptoms are lesions in the corners of the mouth and eczema on the face.
