DescriptionVitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that promotes the growth and formation of bone and teeth. It also acts as an antioxidant; in other words, it protects the body from harmful oxidation. Vegetables, fruits and potatoes contain vitamin C. Deficient intake of the vitamin C cause fatigue and susceptibility to infections; long-term deficits can lead to scurvy. |
