Description

Cholesterol is an essential fat compound, which plays an essential role in a cell membrane and is a precursor of steroid hormones and bile acids.High blood cholesterol is related to the risk of coronary heart diseases. The effect of dietary cholesterol on blood cholesterol level varies because of genetic causes. Mainly animal products contain cholesterol. The richest sources of cholesterol are animal fats, fatty dairy products, meat and eggs.
