Alcohol

Description

Alcohol is a stimulant, which affects all organs in the body and can cause acute or chronic damages. It has been found out, that high alcohol consumption relates to high blood pressure, functional disorders of heart and liver and formation of cancer. It can also lead to deficient intakes of nutrients because of poor diet or absorption disorders. Pure ethanol supplies energy 29 kJ (7 kcal)/g.
